Prof. Dr. Patrick Peters now also Vice-Rector for Research

The previous Vice-Rector for Teaching Material Development, Patrick Peters, will also take on the role of Vice-Rector for Research with immediate effect and will further enhance the research profile of Allensbach University as Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board.

The Senate and University Council of the private, business-oriented Allensbach University (Constance) have appointed Patrick Peters, Professor of PR, Communication and Digital Media and Vice-Rector for Teaching Material Development, as Vice-Rector for Research. Peters, who also teaches business ethics and integration and diversity management, is thus taking over a recently vacant position and will work closely with the professors at Allensbach University and external partners in this additional role.

"The Vice-Rector Research is primarily concerned with content-related, conceptual and strategic issues of scientific development and the expansion of solid, innovative research activities. Patrick Peters will be responsible for the further development of our research strategy and our academic profile. At the interface with the development of teaching materials, we see great added value for the university and our students in particular, as this will further promote the integration of research and teaching," says Timo Keppler, Chancellor of Allensbach University. Allensbach University offers various part-time Bachelor's and Master's programs in the field of economics. The university was recently included in the list of "Top providers of continuing education" by the business magazine "Focus Business". This is the second time in a row.

Since the beginning of 2021 alone, the university has produced more than 60 specialist publications. We want to expand this high level of research activity and continue to network nationally and internationally. I would therefore like to thank the Senate for its confidence in electing me to this role," says Patrick Peters, who is also a member of the editorial board of the academic journal "Zeitschrift für Interdisziplinäre Ökonomische Forschung", which is published by Allensbach University, and regularly appears as an academic author and editor.

For Rector Prof. Dr. Dr. Martin Stieger, filling the vacant position of Vice-Rector Research is also an important step. "We want to consistently link part-time academic adult education with a high academic standard and build up a visible profile as a university with a strong research focus. Patrick Peters will help us to do this as an active, interdisciplinary and well-connected academic, especially as he has already been involved in research issues since joining the university in October 2020 and is therefore already familiar with the tasks of the Vice-Rector for Research."

Peters, a German scholar and trained journalist who also holds an MBA with a focus on general management, will also chair the Academic Advisory Board as Vice-Rector for Research, which is made up of internal and external academics who take an interdisciplinary approach to research. With the specialist congress "Bodenseeforum - Krise, Sanierung und Turnaround", which takes place regularly in July, Allensbach University, together with the DIAI e.V., offers a platform for practical and scientific exchange on the topics of crisis, restructuring and insolvency law that now transcends borders. Other current research focuses include digitalization, distance learning research and digital didactics, entrepreneurship and crisis management and financial analysis of legal regulations and intermediary institutions.
