Funding for Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in STEM and business studies - The Festo Education Fund supports qualified and motivated students in financing their studies. It finances tuition fees, living expenses and study-related stays abroad of up to 40,000 euros.
All degree courses in the STEM fields (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology) are financed, as well as business studies and combined degree courses such as industrial engineering.
An interesting aspect for students at Allensbach University is that the Festo Education Fund also supports part-time studies leading to a Bachelor's or Master's degree. The funding is intended to enable students to concentrate fully on the degree they are aiming for. The aim is for students to be able to complete their studies in the standard period of time and thus make a quick start to their professional life.
How do I apply for the Festo Education Fund?
Applications can be submitted online at any time. Applicants create an application profile and upload their application documents. The application is first evaluated with regard to professional, academic and personal factors. If this is positive, an online assessment center and a telephone interview follow. If this part is also successfully completed, the applicant receives two individual financing and repayment offers with different terms and can choose the most suitable option.
Financing modalities
The maximum funding amount is 40,000 euros and can be used for all direct or indirect study-related expenses. The maximum financing period is 48 months. Repayment to the Festo Education Fund is income-dependent and begins with proof of a permanent job. The participant pays back a fixed percentage of his/her gross income over a fixed period of time. The amount of the percentage is between 4 and 10 % and depends on the funding period and the amount of funding. The repayment period is usually between 4 and 7 years.
More than just student financing: Bildungsplus and network
The education fund offers all sponsored students a network of companies and universities for the exchange of practical experience and the development of contacts. These medium-sized companies, mostly market and technology leaders, offer excursions, dissertations and internships. In addition, participants can gain free qualifications in areas such as personal development or career advancement alongside their studies.
Outstanding social commitment
The Festo Education Fund was founded in 2007 on the initiative of the shareholders of Festo AG & Co. KG. Festo defined the concept of a company education fund as part of its self-defined corporate educational responsibility and has since made 10 million euros available for this purpose. The Festo Education Fund is the first and only corporate education fund with social responsibility in Germany. It was awarded the "TOP Innovator" award in 2012 and the DIHK initiative prize in 2008.

Young academics can apply for up to 30,000 euros for their study and living costs via the study fund. Later, their income-dependent payments to the study fund help to ensure that the principle of the reverse intergenerational contract works and enable new students to study.
To help them get off to an even more successful start, they are trained, coached and networked with a large community.
Does Deutsche Bildung also support part-time and distance learning courses?
Yes, some of the sponsored students study part-time. State-recognized distance learning courses with a Bachelor's degree are funded from the second semester; Master's courses from the first semester.
