Parental leave marks a crucial stage in life in which many new challenges and changes arise. Although most people associate becoming a parent with "private pleasure", this private issue has a huge impact on a woman's career, especially in this day and age. In my environment, it has become very clear that mothers take on most of the care work, especially during the postnatal recovery period and while breastfeeding. During this time, returning to work is not the focus of most mothers' attention. But after five or six months, as soon as a routine and a certain security in dealing with their own child has been established, many miss their professional ambitions. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the fact that they all have an urge to "make a career", but much more to do with the fact that for many, their entire life up until pregnancy was focused on getting a good education in order to get a good job. How individuals define the individual points varies. But what they all have in common is the fact that their new life as a mother has a completely different focus than the one they had before.
