Targeted organizational development can increase the performance of the organization and promote the development of the individual members of the organization. HR management plays an important role here. Effective HR management uses modern employer branding tools to find the best employees, develops them and promotes their loyalty to the company. It helps to prepare for organizational change by developing employees and their skills in line with requirements.
Last but not least, it creates optimal conditions and a non-discriminatory environment for the provision of services. Managers also help to motivate employees through their actions - even in the digital age and increasingly in a virtual environment. This poses new challenges for managers and digital leaders.
In the "Human Resources Management" specialization, you will acquire extensive specialist knowledge and skills to take on responsibility for HR management tasks in a company. You will learn about personnel management as an internal and external service provider, deal with the conception of employer branding activities and discuss a wide range of personnel marketing and recruiting instruments.
You will learn about diversity as a challenge and a success factor and develop answers to dealing with demographic change. You will be familiar with measures for the promotion, qualification and further training of employees, managers and junior managers, and you will understand the various roles and tasks of a manager in the area of conflict between expectations, self-interests and operational context conditions.
They deal with current ethical and socio-political issues of leadership and can apply digital forms of working in a team.
As a graduate with a specialization in Human Resource Management, you will qualify for challenging tasks in the field of human resource management. You can take on responsible positions as a specialist and manager in personnel departments of companies, authorities or public institutions, e.g. as a personnel developer, recruiter, in personnel marketing or in personnel consultancies.

If your personal or professional situation requires it, you can extend your studies free of charge for up to 18 months. After that, there are further fee-based extension options.
You can find all the important information about your degree program in your personal study guide.
