Business administration basics course: The most important points at a glance

The Business Administration Basics course "Business Administration Basics" comprises various modules of the Business Administration Bachelor-study program. You will learn the most important fundamentals of business administration (BWL), economics (VWL) and business law. You can have 100 percent of the coursework you complete credited towards the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Like all our courses, the business administration foundation course online-based. This means that you do not have to come to our university in person. Instead, you absorb the content via the Internet. "Traditional" learning methods such as reading books and magazines are of course also available to you.

The Business Administration Fundamentals course is an 8-month advanced training course that free of charge can be extended by up to 4 months. After successfully completing the course, you will receive the desired university certificate and a credit of 40 ECTS. The total cost of the Business Administration Fundamentals course is currently 325 euros per month. The total costs therefore amount to 2,600 euros.

Business administration basics course: The contents in detail

The content of the training course consists of a total of six modules together:

• Introduction to General Business Administration - Case Study
• Accounting I
• Einführung in die Volkswirtschaftslehre
• Business Law I - Casework
• Cost accounting and controlling
• Corporate management

Both written examinations and term papers are offered as proof of performance. The exams can be taken in our Prüfungszentren which are spread across the whole of Germany. The Accounting I and Accounting I modules must be completed with an assignment.

Admission and enrollment

Participation in the "Business Administration Fundamentals" course is generally open to all students. open to every applicant. However, a university entrance qualification and/or commercial training are an advantage.

If you are planning to study for a Master's degree online, the Business Administration Fundamentals course is compulsory as a preparatory course if you have not completed a first degree in economics. Excluded is the MBA General Management.

If you have already completed further training (e.g. Business economist IHK or Business economist VWA), it is possible to have previous work credited towards the business administration foundation course. Please contact our student advisory service.
