Independent and autonomous Bachelor's degree course - Experience report Business Administration online (B.A.)

Tanja S. shares her experience of studying for a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration online at Allensbach University:

With the aim of expanding and deepening my economic knowledge, I looked for and found the ideal opportunity for this in the Business Administration online course at the Allensbach University of Applied Sciences in Constance. Even before I started my studies, when I requested the information material via the university's homepage and made initial contact with the university, I received detailed, competent and friendly advice on all my numerous queries about the course by telephone and e-mail.

As I was not completely familiar with the structure of the distance learning course, the online information event gave me, as a prospective student, a comprehensive insight into the technical and administrative structure with the two very clearly structured online portals. This enabled me to imagine and plan the compatibility of my profession, in which I was employed part-time, with my studies very well, so that I ultimately decided to take this course for these reasons.

Independent and autonomous study

Throughout my studies, I was able to organize my course completely individually. This includes not only being able to start my studies at any time, but also taking and, if necessary, postponing exams and activating new modules every month. In this way, I was able to react very flexibly to different workloads. I also really enjoyed the fact that I was able to use the free time available to me specifically and efficiently for my studies, as I no longer had to spend a lot of time traveling to attend scheduled lectures, as I had done in my previous on-campus studies.

Because every lecture is also recorded, I was always able to decide independently when and to what extent I wanted to work on my studies. In addition, there is no disadvantage for the student because you can contact the lecturer at any time by e-mail and receive a quick and competent response. This leads me straight to an aspect that I have come to particularly appreciate at Allensbach University: the accessibility, availability and communication with the university administration.

Quick help from university administration

Because the university administration is available all day during the week from Monday to Friday during normal business hours and can be contacted both by email and telephone, students are offered a flexible way of making contact. I was helped very quickly and competently with any concerns I had, and I always found the contact to be open and very friendly. In short: even if physical presence is not the rule for distance learning, I always felt that I was in very good hands at Allensbach University.

At the same time, it reflects the student's independence in their studies. For example, the learning materials can be easily downloaded online in the respective module, together with the current, recorded lectures and the PowerPoint presentations used in them. Depending on the module, there is also the option of taking knowledge tests to check your level of knowledge.

Targeted preparation with the help of mock exams and control tasks

A mock exam is also made available online for each module so that students can prepare for the type and level of the tasks and the form of the exam; this gives them further feedback on their own level of knowledge. The quality and up-to-dateness of the documents should be emphasized in a particularly positive light, as they generally offer control tasks with corresponding solutions for checking at the end of each chapter. With this extensive range of materials and the module structure, students are provided with tools and aids that serve both to expand and deepen their knowledge and to enable them to successfully complete the examinations.

After my successful graduation, I can highly recommend this course of study at Allensbach University and can only advise anyone interested in studying to not hesitate to contact the university and see for themselves.
