The following position is available immediately on a freelance basis at our university:
Lecturer for Private Equity and Hedge Funds (m/f/d)
The module Private Equity and Hedge Funds is a compulsory elective module of the Master's degree program in Finance.
The module includes the following contents:
- Private equity as an asset class
- Types of private equity investments
- Financing phases
- Legal and tax principles
- Investment process
Market participants
- Institutional investors
- Family Offices
- Asset manager
- Private investors
- The company
Management of private equity investments
- Portfolio, risk and liquidity management
- Private equity funds
- Investment controlling
- Trends and developments in the private equity market
Hedge funds as an asset class
- Structure of hedge funds
- Investment strategies
- Regulation (AlFM Directive, MiFID)
- Fund of funds
- Case studies
The module concludes with a term paper, which would also have to be supervised.
Your profile:
- You have several years of professional experience in private equity and hedge funds.
- In addition, you can demonstrate a special aptitude for academic work by completing a doctorate.
- You already have teaching experience at a university.
- Ideally, you have already gained experience in distance learning and in the development of media-supported distance learning courses and study materials.
- In addition to the relevant degrees for the position, you also have a very good knowledge of German (level C2) and good knowledge of English (level C1).
