Biography

Elmar Stein initially studied English/American Studies and Political Science as a teacher at the University of Mannheim. Before, during and after his traineeship, he first completed a distance learning course in Human Resource Management at the German Academy of Management and then a Master's degree in Human Resource Management at Walden University (USA). He initially worked as a teacher at various types of schools and completed his doctorate part-time at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in the field of systematic-strategic HR business partnering. He worked part-time in teaching at a university and at various distance learning universities, as well as full-time in a logistics company and in a consulting firm. In 2023, he was appointed Professor of HR Management and HR Development at Allensbach University of Applied Sciences in Constance. Elmar Stein has several publications on the topics of HR management, skills shortages, skills retention and talent management.
