Biography

Prof. Dr. Peter Spettenhuber studied finance and economics at the Ludwigsburg University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Finance, the University of Hagen and the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. He completed his doctorate while working at the Catholic University of Eichstätt Ingolstadt under Prof. Dr. Dr. Djanani with a thesis on the taxation of family businesses. Mr. Spettenhuber is a certified tax consultant (1997) and auditor (1999).

Due to his work at Big Four companies (EY, PwC) as well as at medium-sized WP/StB companies, he has many years of experience in advising and auditing national and international companies. He currently advises companies and groups on ongoing taxation, restructuring, transactions and corporate succession. He is also responsible for private asset succession. In this context, the German Association of Tax Consultants has certified Mr. Spettenhuber as a specialist consultant for corporate succession (DStV e.V.) and as a specialist consultant for the execution of wills and estate administration (DStV e.V.).

Mr. Spettenhuber was a lecturer at the Center for Distance Studies Austria, A-Linz (1992-2001), the University Distance Studies Switzerland, CH-Brig (2002-2008), the University of Applied Sciences Kiel (2009-2011) and the HTWG University of Applied Sciences Konstanz (2014-2016). Since 2016, he has been working as a lecturer at the Knoll Tax Law Institute in preparation for the professional examination for tax consultants and further training as a specialist consultant for international tax law.
