Allensbach Hochschule besetzt wissenschaftlichen Beirat teilweise neu

Under the leadership of Vice-Rector Research Prof. Dr. Patrick Peters, the Scientific Advisory Board of Allensbach University has been reconstituted. Among other things, the committee will further develop the university's research profile.

At the beginning of the new year, the private Allensbach University of Applied Sciences (Constance) added new members to its Academic Advisory Board. The Academic Advisory Board will advise the university on matters such as the development and implementation of research projects and collaborations, the design of the university's academic profile, examination law issues and the development and accreditation of degree programs.

Prof. Dr. Patrick Peters, Vice-Rector for Research and Development of Teaching Resources, will take over the management of the Scientific Advisory Board. In the new election cycle, the existing members Prof. Dr. Karl-Heinz Gerholz from the University of Bamberg and Prof. Dr. Uwe Seidel from the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg as well as the newly appointed members Prof. Dr. Katja Gabius from the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen, Prof. Dr. Alexander Kracklauer from the Hochschule Neu-Ulm and Prof. Dr. Manfred Pohl from the University of Frankfurt am Main will be members of the Scientific Advisory Board. The Scientific Advisory Board was newly constituted on January 9 and thus began its work. The members were each elected for two years.

"As a distance learning university with an innovative and long-established digital teaching concept, Allensbach University is at the cutting edge of technology and at the same time stands for a practically oriented approach to science and research. More than 60 specialist publications have emerged from the university since the beginning of 2021 alone. We want to expand this high level of research activity and continue to network nationally and internationally," emphasizes Patrick Peters. "This means that research plays an important role at Allensbach University. By working with proven experts in scientific and always practice-oriented research, we can support this goal and regularly provide new impetus with our interdisciplinary approach to research."

Cross-border platform for exchange

With the specialist congress "Bodenseeforum - Krise, Sanierung und Turnaround", which takes place regularly in July, Allensbach University, together with DIAI e.V., for example, now offers a cross-border platform for practical and scientific exchange on the topics of crisis, restructuring and insolvency law. Other current research focuses include digitalization, distance learning research and digital didactics, entrepreneurship and crisis management and financial analysis of legal regulations and intermediary institutions.

The results of research activities at Allensbach University are published in our academic journal "Zeitschrift für interdisziplinäre ökonomische Forschung" (Journal of Interdisciplinary Economic Research) and thus made available to the public. External academics from Germany and Europe also publish relevant articles in this journal.

"We are delighted to have such a high-caliber scientific advisory board with professors from state universities from various disciplines. This accentuates our dedicated academic profile," says Timo Keppler, Chancellor of Allensbach University. Allensbach University offers various part-time Bachelor's and Master's programs in the field of economics. The university was recently included in the list of "Top providers of continuing education" by the business magazine "Focus Business". This is the second time in a row.
