What are the admission requirements?

You already have a first, non-economic university degree with at least 180 ECTS (e.g. Bachelor's degree, state examination or diploma from any type of university). You also have relevant professional experience and English language skills at level B2 of the Cambridge Certificate .

If you have not taken a test, you can also prove your English language skills in a telephone test.

How is your course structured?

Internationalization and globalization processes are shaping the markets like never before. Decision-makers for entrepreneurial action are more in demand than ever. Experts with social and professional skills are deployed in various industries across all business areas in order to cope with rapidly changing competitive environments in a globalized economy. An MBA degree provides you with a sound business education, which you will need above all in management positions.

Semester 1: Strategic Management, Marketing and Accounting

In the first semester, you will receive an introduction to academic work and self-management. This should help you to adapt to the customs of academic work in economics. The methods and techniques of self-management should also provide you with valuable soft skills that can help you cope with your studies. In the "Management & Organization" module, you will receive an introduction to business administration, but also deal with strategic management and marketing. Finally, you will gain in-depth knowledge of internal and external accounting in the "Accounting & Controlling" module.

2nd semester: International Business, Project and Process Management, International Human Resources Management and Leadership

In the second semester, you will deal with the basic procedures and concepts of capital budgeting and corporate finance. In the "International Business" module, you will learn about internationalization strategies, deal with questions of international personnel management and gain insights into public affairs management. The "Leadership" module familiarizes you with basic management theories and shows you how these can be translated into concrete management action in practice. The semester concludes with the teaching of project and process management skills.

3rd semester: Specialization in Engineering Management

You will acquire valuable expert knowledge with the focus subjects Innovation Management, Data Science Management (Big Data) and Industrial Information Management (Industry 4.0).

4th semester: Master's thesis

You will write your Master's thesis, which is an independent research paper that marks the end of your studies. Here you will demonstrate that you can work independently on a problem from the subject areas of the Master's program using scientific methods. Of course, you will receive individual supervision from our professors during this phase. You will present your Master's thesis at the end in a colloquium (online).

Specialization in Engineering Management

This specialization is aimed in particular at engineers working in the field of Innovation management and in current topics such as the Digitalization of business processes, data science management (big data) and Industrial information management (Industry 4.0) want to gain further qualifications.

How long will your studies take and what degree will you receive?

Standard period of study: 24 months

It is possible to extend the duration of the course by up to 12 months free of charge, so that the course can be completed in 24 to 36 months, depending on individual scheduling.

Start of studies: at any time

Once you have successfully completed all examinations, the university will award you the academic degree "Master of Business Administration (MBA)", which also entitles you to do a doctorate.
